Whether you’re playing casual games at home or running a local league night, keeping accurate scores in 501 makes the game more enjoyable for everyone. This free scoresheet gives you everything you need to track a proper match.
What’s Included on This Scoresheet
We’ve designed this scoresheet with real games in mind:
- Two-player layout — Side-by-side columns so you can track both players at a glance
- 20 round rows — More than enough for most games (average is 12-16 darts per player)
- Score and remaining columns — Write what you scored and calculate remaining instantly
- Quick checkout reference — The most common finishes from 170 down to 40 printed at the bottom
- Match info header — Date, venue, and leg tracking for league play
How to Use This Scoresheet
- Write player names at the top – Fill in each player’s name in their respective column header.
- Start both players at 501 – Write “501” in the first “Remaining” box for each player.
- Record each 3-dart turn – After a player throws, write their score in the “Score” column and subtract from remaining. Write the new total in “Remaining.”
- Mark the checkout – When a player finishes on a double, circle or highlight the winning score. First to reach exactly zero on a double wins!
💡 Pro Tip
Use pencil instead of pen — mistakes happen, and you’ll want to correct them without making a mess of your scoresheet.
Quick 501 Rules Reminder
Need a refresher? Here’s how 501 works:
- Both players start at 501 points
- Each turn, throw 3 darts and subtract your score from remaining
- You must finish on exactly zero by hitting a double (the outer narrow ring)
- If you go below zero or hit exactly 1, it’s a “bust” — your turn ends and score resets to what it was
